Confused by product lineup
I'll admint I am not the smartest monkey in the room and I am pretty new to Wordpress, Divi, and now variables, presets, clamp etc. But I feel like I have a basic enough understanding and while I have built a few websites, I think maybe my lack of experience is part of the problem
I'm trying to figure out the best product to purchase for my needs and it seems like there is some hierarchy to the products but its not clear and I can't tell what the relationships are between products. I can't see what some of the products look like or what's in them. I am making what I think are obvious assumptions about my questions but I'm not comfortable making purchasing decisions in a vacuum of information. That being said... the products do seem very helpful and I can see the time saving value.
What is the difference between the Divi Starter Template and the Krafter Starter Template?
What is in the Super Modules?
Krafter Presets says it uses modules. Is this just presets or is it modules with the presets? Are those modules coming with the settings unique to each module or do presets and variables get imported with them?
Are the Krafter presets included in Super Modules?
I can only see most products from the Shop link in my dashboard but not on sitekrafter.com - why
Krafter vs SiteKrafter Pro - Does Pro have what Krafter has + more? What is the more? I assume it is just a marketing wording mismatch (at least for me it seems so)
I think that if the marketing was clearer and there was more documentation I might have a better handle on what is what.
Hi Michael, I think the confusion is caused by the rapid development of Divi 5 where MAK has been developing and then catching up, changing direction and then developing again. It seems to me he is playing catchup and reacting to new features as they are added.
The latest YT video explained that the Krafter product will be developed into the Krafter PRO product including the Starter Templates and Krafter presets. This will be the primary option going forward.
He has said that anyone buying the Krafter product at $77 will be upgraded to Krafter PRO when it is released, after which the price will go up.

I purchased Krafter awhile back. I don't see how to upgrade it to Pro version, since it is free now, how do I get it? Please advise. Thank you.
In essence, Sitekrafter Pro is a Divi child theme, css class based design/formatting product. Krafter (2.4 - soon to be Karfter Pro) is a Divi preset based system. Both can accomplish similar results, but the approach is (from the web dev perspective) completely different. Siekrafter Pro is more "fiddly" and complex to use - multiple css classes can be assigned to a single element allowing fairly deep customisation. Krafter 2.4 (soon to be Pro) allows a preset to be selected for a particular item within an element eg. spacing, or heading value.
Sitekrafter pro I would say is for a dev who wants more finely tuned precise control over their design, often much more laborious to use than Krafter Pro. Krafter Pro on the other hand is very quick to use when building out a design, as the bulk of the design work is already done and set into the presets.
Quite possibly most of us would benefit more from Krafter Pro, than Site Krafter.
I would say it's likely that Mak's vision here is for Krafter Pro to supersede Sitekrafter Pro, but I dont know that for sure.

That's a great explanation Steve Seddon, thank you so much. I would like to know if we should install both and have a the Site Krafter child theme to act as a child theme to avoid losing attributes when Divi 5 has an update. Just like the child themes purpose of the recent past. Is there a risk to not having a child theme? Or is it best to just stick with Krafter Pro for faster site builds? Hope that makes sense. Thank you all!
Michael Huhndorf you are welcome! I would just use Krafter Pro, it should cover anything you need. As far as losing attributes, that has thankfully never happened to me due to a Divi update, so I would say just go with Karfter Pro.
