How To Create A Background Overlay In Divi 5

I’ve been in the Divi ecosystem since the very beginning, and even for me, this technique only fully clicked once I understood that the image is the overlay, not the background.
Your highlighting that distinction is huge; it’s going to save a lot of people some serious head-scratching.
