Can i delete the older versions?

The new preset manager allows you to manage all the presets for your entire site in one place. Any preset can be edited and previewed in a new preset preview.

If we already have version 2.0 installed, we install this on top of that version or how are we supposed to update Krafter as you keep adding features to it?

It can be useful to you. I share with you the link to Nelson's plugin "divi assistant" now compatible with Divi5: A huge collection of incredibly practical features and tools. For example, transfer presets, create export import child themes and lots of cool stuff.... I did well to invest in a life license before the arrival of divi5.

I have not tested compatibility with Krater and SiteKrater. May be features to activate or deactivate.

We would like to inform you about a current limitation related to Divi 5 preset management, specifically when working with Krafter 2.2 layouts and presets.

Issue Summary

At the moment, Divi 5 does not support updating or merging preset collections between different versions. Importing Krafter presets into an existing site that already contains older Krafter presets can lead to:

• Preset duplication
• Excessive option updates
• Import processes appearing to stall or freeze

This behavior is a known limitation and has been acknowledged within the Divi community. Improved preset management is expected in a future Divi update.

Temporary Solution (Our Current Workflow)

Until Divi resolves this limitation, we have implemented the following safe and reliable workaround:

1. Temporarily switch to the Divi parent theme (disabling child-theme hooks during import).
2. Import Krafter layouts and presets successfully.
3. Re-enable the child theme after the import is completed.
4. Save the page once to allow normal CSS and variable regeneration.

This approach prevents conflicts during the import process and ensures stable results.

Going Forward

• Krafter preset imports are treated as a one-time installation.
• For existing projects, we avoid re-importing presets and instead work with custom project-specific presets.
• Layout-only imports (without presets) remain fully safe.

We will continue monitoring Divi updates and adjust our workflow once native preset management tools are officially released.

Hi Mak, I may have missed something. But it seems you are presenting the new Krafter versions with a new Divi install. If that is the case I need a video showing me how we can update the new versions of Krafter presets to an existing website with old Krafter presets to avoid duplications - Please!

My question is whether using Divi 5 and Krafter, it should/needs to install a Divi childtheme. So that settings and theme data are not deleted when updating a Divi 5.
