Let's Make Divi University Better Together!

Divi University has now grown to over 3,600 members, and I just want to say thank you.

As the community grows, I want to make it more organised, more useful, and more community-driven.

I don’t want this to be just another Divi group where people ask random questions and disappear. I want Divi University to become a place where Divi users can learn, build, get feedback, improve their design skills, understand Divi 5, use better workflows, and grow as freelancers or agency owners.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be working on improving the community structure with areas like:

  • Start Here
  • Build Better Websites
  • Fix My Website
  • Website Reviews
  • KrafterPRO Lab
  • Freelancer & Agency Growth

I’m also thinking of introducing weekly activities such as build challenges, website reviews, KrafterPRO tips, member showcases, and practical Divi 5 workflow discussions.

I’d also love to involve more people from the community. So if you’d be interested in helping as a community champion, reviewer, guide, or contributor, let me know.

Before I finalise everything, I’d love your input:

What would make Divi University more valuable for you? I want your ideas and input please 🙏🏾

Website reviews? Live sessions? Build challenges? More templates? Starter sites? Certification? Client workflow training?

This is the next chapter for Divi University, and I’m excited to build it with you.

I want to have the videos searchable. For example, if I am having a problem with formatting or posting my blog, I want to be able to put "blog" in a help or search box and then get links to all of your videos that address blogs - videos that are part of Divi University and YouTube.

Hello Mak,

Thanks for your great work.

A first question: you mention a 'design system' in your communication. What don't you use the name Krafter Pro explicitly?

Sandra Tomlinson

Hi Mak,

Firstly, congratulations on growing Divi University to over 3,600 members. It's encouraging to see your vision for building a genuine learning community rather than just another discussion group. The plans for Divi 5 workflows, website reviews, build challenges, and freelancer growth all sound promising, and I'm looking forward to seeing the next chapter of Divi University unfold.

Before moving forward, however, I would appreciate it if some of the existing access issues could be addressed. For example, access to the Divi 5 Workflow course was said to have been granted, but I am still unable to access it. There may be others in a similar position.

While new content and initiatives are exciting, it would be helpful to ensure that current members can fully access the courses and resources that have already been promised. Resolving those outstanding issues would provide a stronger foundation for the community's next phase of growth.

I look forward to what is ahead and appreciate all the work that has gone into building Divi University.

Blessings,

— Still Here

I'd love to see a live AMA with a website review and where we can ask questions by chat.

I would be glad to do live zoom seesions every week or couple of weeksto answer questions for freelancers working on Divi to deliver solutions for their clients or fix their own sites and also share wins and breakthroughs with other community members.

Hello Mark and the community.

Brilliant! I hope participants will be keen to get involved in the various initiatives.
My English isn’t great, but the translators are a huge help.

For my part, I’d like to explore, within the KraferPro lab and as a freelancer, how to create websites using the design system and Claude AI. I’ve just completed an AI training course using WordPress + Novamira Pro (the Pro version supports Divi5) + Claude Cowork + ZipWP. I’ve done some initial learning tests. It’s absolutely brilliant! (There’s a minor server bug with the ZipWP server using OPcache, and no settings are accessible via the dashboard.) I’d like a .md Markdown file or a skill so that, for every website creation project, Claude can fully understand how to use the best design system, KrafterPro. Even though Claude can store skills, he’s analysed the KrafterPro plugin and has already memorised that I wanted him to use the presets and variables defined by Mak. We’d need a proper skill, validated by its author, for Claude Cowork.

😱I’m missing an important point. After analysing the database, the snapshots are stored there, taking up around 700 KB on my site, and if there are several of them, this quickly increases the file size. Perhaps there could be an option to delete them via the plugin’s dashboard?

I forgot to thank you in my message for your excellent work and this brilliant KraterPro plugin. The result in terms of creating a website is remarkable, as is the time saved. Here’s the result of your efforts, Mak: Feedback from a client – given the nature of their business, they told me the website looks incredibly professional. ❤️

I have an input on community (help) as I understand it there will be different, e.g., one for KrafterPro, one for Divi and so on.
I personally think that would be a mistake, I think it would be better with only one, and then possibility to filter, e.g. with tags.
In this way I think more people will scroll thru and probably more questions would be answer directly.

Great stuff, but please implement version control for products. It is frustrating to download, open, and peek inside to see the version.

Also, Divi5 is mature now. I would like to see SEO and show the habit of changing H1 tags, for example. It is fine to choose presets to make it look pretty, if folks are not changing them to H2-H6 on the builder. These sites will have too many H1 tags. We allow one per page.

John Sharkey

As Divi is no doubt going to continue to change constantly, having a weekly or monthly sharing session to track the latest updates and how it impacts KrafterPro and the workflow would be amazing.

Hello Mac,

Great initiative! If I may, I will offer a business model that can move the community to another level of expansion and satisfaction. (not saying it is the only way but is it an alternative)

Major problem: you expressed it in a very nice way (Structure... More focused on your different kind of member: Divi users, developers, designers, Agencies - Awesome but different purpose)

All professionals with an ever increasing demanding life.

Diagnostic: The community should serve specifically the different purpose according to priorities.

Divi users: We want an easy way to learn and use Divi without the craziness of going to the university for becoming a developer, designer or agency. Specifically:

  1. An easy way to learn the basic, to install (krafterPro only at this point) to selectively organize presets so it is totally user friendly

  2. Reference people that can help, respond rapidly to concern and are dedicated to one subject. examples: Specialist installation, specialist design, specialist managing website (what ever else you can imagine.

  3. Nobody can do that for free just out of good will. that is a very bad structure. Nowaday, we need to respect involvement, professionalism and the need for rapid growth (for everyone) As you said, expansion and growth is limited by structure (I call it business model)

  4. I will leave the expansion into what others (design, site management, etc) would like to see

  5. Here is my point - 3500 members (totally awesome) An enormous community of knowledge, of desire to contribute ------ FOR FREE ---- because we have time, we care, we enjoy what we do. yes and no. Everyone, including yourself need to be respected. Bottom line, there need to be a sharing of energy... In a structure way.

  6. Why: You simple cannot do it yourself or expecting other to help you because they recognize your extreme dedication. The business model is totally not valuable at this point. Let me be clear.

  7. We can have a general chat, concern, ideas sharing... Totally not focused and not usable long team or, as you said, lets get organized. First reframe community, lets call it the greatest and fastest web support for ... (what ever you are describing as your client) and here how we do it (internal only)

When you join for free you get... (discussion)
You want rapid, continuous support - we also have it
Everyone serious about being self-sufficient with their website would be very happy to pay a small fee to have that service (no freaking waiting time to sort out something that would create momentum for all your members (let me be clear)

  8. I'm just a user... Lets say I am beginning using divi 5 and your system. I have a choice, I can pay lets say $20 to $30 per month to have access to contributors with dedicated area of expertise. They meet you once a week with major concerns in their specific expertise. (sort it out) All subjects are identify and the expert identify.

Each meeting with an expert last only a certain time not to abuse the system. So we need to show up and not expect a full meeting on how divi works or how KrafterPro works. We need to be clear with the purpose of our session (could be easily done with a checklist before coming to a session. The money we are paying gain extreme value because we keep moving fast. If it is the case, your community will evolve at the speed of light.

Most of the money coming from this should indeed go to the specialist. (or as you wish - test the idea first) But by doing that, you become liberated from talking individually to a bunch of people you should not talk too. You are also feeding your most dedicated contributors that can actually help you grow. I hope you can easily imagine the huge difference in your quality of life and your online presence without the pressure that you put on yourself.

BONUS: As the quality of service respond to a real need "MOMENTUM, PRECISION, SATISFACTION" You are growing a team that can cost you nothing and soon even your pricing can match the quality of service you would be able to maintain

YOUR MAJOR CHALLENGE - That will not happen alone or without a new structure that respect and A NEW YOU and the PROFESSIONALS that you already have attracted.

I AM NOT A PRO DIVI OR WEBSITE BUILDER... I am mostly what we call PURPOSE ARCHITECT for organization. That is my contribution.

    Norm

Do the MATH

1000 choose this @ $25 = 25000
To be distributed according to Sessions provided
Expert are being paid and clients are freaking moving FAST

Communities of the future are not freebees for everyone, they are people being respected and valued structurally for their contribution. (Right now - not happening)

Time to choose EXPANSION OR CONTRACTION.
This is STRUCTURAL AND POWERFUL
