My Thoughts On The Loop Builder!
In this video, I share my thoughts on the new Loop Builder.
To be honest: I was really confused when I saw the Elegant Themes Video about the LOOP feature - and this has not gone away with your LOOP videos. Maybe this is a thing for pro Webdesigners only. 😱

Augustine Mak have you really tested and analyzed it? ET apparently has their own industry standards. there is so much missing or different from the standard its mind boggling.

Linking the entire card is not supported.

Modules within the loop can’t be linked to their respective single posts, except for the featured image—which unless you do it manually

The excerpt word count setting does not function as intended. try to set a number of words..

Module order does not work as it should example when giving the image order:0 it should be on top and there is no need to order the other modules as well.

The loop position feature provides no useful information.

Customizing the "Read More" text has no effect.

There are no front-end filter options.

Metadata styling is limited to hyperlinks; other metadata appears as plain, comma-separated text.
The Flexbox implementation by ET is a separate issue—best left for another discussion.
I won’t even begin to comment on the Flexbox implementation by ET—it’s a whole other can of worms.
Funny how none of the Divi 5 Loop Builder videos seem to touch on these topics are these are basic when you work with loops, I wonder why..
macobuk I, too, have had a difficult time just finding where you can set the excerpt to a specific number of words (still looking for it. Mak's video shows the images all sized the same but I haven't discovered a way to do that. At least the blog module maintains that uniformity for us. Lastly. aside from the image size issue, I am having difficulty getting uniform the tiems to a uniform height.
That said, I do like the potential that the loop builder holds, but I may need to stick with the blog post method for now to get my site running as soon as possible and go back to revist the loop builder later.

macobuk and here I thought it was my not understanding how it worked after several hours of research and design efforts trying to figure it out. At half assed, it might still be overrated.
