Here is what changed:
Added
- Import preview: Presets are now diffed against live Divi preset data (same option keys as import). Each preset item in the file is compared to the matching id (or list index) on this site so the summary can show new / will update / unchanged counts, aligned with the variable rows.
- Import preview: Merge footer hint now states that “unchanged” applies to preset entries in the summary as well as variables.
Fixed
- Export: global_colors palette rows are now exported losslessly (hex stays hex; $variable(...) references stay $variable(...)) instead of being resolved to baked hex. This prevents round-trips from changing format when you re-import the same file.
- Import: Colors count in the import summary now reflects the number of palette rows in the uploaded file (including brand ids), not the post-sync storage shape where Divi strips brand ids into theme options.
I installed Plugin v2.0.19, used the Reset button to purge everything, and then installed Design System v.2.0.11 as supplied. It seems to have solved my problem with the colors. I edited my Primary and Secondary and the change was reflected in all the shades and tints. Yay, thank you!

Thanks for the update — I’ve tested the new version (v2.0.19), but I’m still facing the same issue.
After importing the KrafterPRO-Design-System-v2.0.11.json file and disabling both VRAND & TEXT Colors, the Primary and Secondary (7 shades) are still overriding my existing global color palette.
What I’m expecting:

My existing brand colors should remain unchanged

The imported presets should either:
- be added without replacing existing shades, or
- allow an option to prevent overriding global colors
Right now, the import process replaces my current color shades, which affects the site design.
Could you please confirm:
- Is there a way to prevent this override?
- Or is this expected behavior in the current version?

Thanks for the video and the hard work. I do have questions. So, if I already had V1.0.1 and customized my variables, I am unchecking the colors for sure, because I don't want your new defaults to overwrite my site colors. I also have customized my Numbers and created/added H5 and H6, which still are not included in your KrafterPRO-Design-System-v2.0.11.json . So in my situation, would it be smart to simply NOT install the KrafterPRO-Design-System-v2.0.11.json now and just install the plugin so that I am prepared for future NEW variables and presets?
Jim Kemble I believe there is a step in the install process where you can choose what to install and what to not install with a toggle .

Mak . I still do not think installing theV2.0.11.json file is working correctly. I selected MERGE and PREVIEW. There was a checkbox for "Brand & Text (unchecked that because I want ALL of my original colors to NOT be overwritten by this JSON) as well as unchecked "Other" colors plus Fonts.
There is no Uncheck option for Primary and Secondary Shades and after reviewing the import, THOSE overwrote the shades of MY original colors and now have Mak's shades. I trusted that the shades would STAY the current shades on MY existing Primary and Secondary colors but that was not the case. Of course, I didn't care if Semantic colors overwrote but the "Opacity" colors, specifically w-trans 10% got reset to 100% which messed up my previous design. Again, having an UNcheck import box would help.
As I mentioned in my earlier comment, I UNCHECKED all Numbers because I customized plus added the missing H5 and H6. The import respected my existing and did not overwrite except the two test numbers that I tested with. In those tests, the modified original numbers were overwritten as expected.
So, it seems like you need to have more UNcheck boxes available for the shades of colors. Please let me know if I'm accurate in my assumption.

same. I noticed that other color attributes (like transparency) got reset to defaults even though I retained my custom palette colors.
Also lost a couple of custom presets (renamed DH_xxxx) doing a Merge, which didn't happen (as I recall) with the previous update. Or maybe I didn't import the presets last time - can't remember. 🤔
It looks like Elegant Themes is picking up on your ideas, With the fluid sizing variable feature they're working to release soon.
