Which version of Divi should I build the Child Themes on?
I'm thinking we need both because Divi 5 seems like a carrot that is going to dangle before us for who knows how long. So many seem to be waiting for Divi 5 to do anything but there is a lot of work to be done now - can't just sit here waiting, right?
I could be wrong, but I think it it depends on how much theme customisation is put in the child theme. The basic principles apply regardless of theme since it has to "hook" into the underlying Wordpress structure. Divi 4 is probably more applicable at the moment but the same basic structure should work for Divi 5.
My vote is both, as I can see myself still using v4 for a while after v5 is officially released.
I'm not one who'll upgrade to a new version of a software product out of the gate, and usually will wait 8-12 weeks after a new version is released before doing so.
