Hy everyone:)

Im exited too be a member of the community. I all new in designing websites, but found Divi5 realy good, but also a lot too learn. I have trouble finding anything about have you use pluig ins and how you activate them. i dont know anything about that a i tryed many things but im stuck. Can anyone maby link something that tell how plugin in wordpress divi5 works and hov to activate them. Im working on a blog that need a chat function so people can talk togeahter.

  4. Activate (Crucial Step!): After you click install, wait a few seconds. The button will change to a blue button that says Activate. You must click this, or the plugin will not work.

2. A Note on Divi 5

Since you are using Divi 5, you are using a "Public Alpha" version. This means it is still being built.

  • Good News: Most standard chat plugins will work fine because they just float on top of your website.
  • Bad News: If you try to use a plugin that adds special modules inside the Divi Builder, it might not appear yet because Divi 5 is still very new.

3. Recommendations for Chat Plugins

You mentioned you want people to "talk together." There are two types of chat. Which one do you need?

Option A: You want to talk to your visitors (Customer Support)

If you want visitors to be able to message you (the admin), use these:

  • Tidio: Very beginner-friendly and has a nice free version.
  • Tawk.to: Completely free and very popular.
  • Join.chat: Adds a simple button that opens WhatsApp to chat with you.

Option B: You want visitors to talk to each other (Chat Room)

If you want a public chat room where everyone talks in a group:

  • Simple Ajax Chat: A lightweight plugin that creates a chat box on a page.
  • Wise Chat: Offers more features for community chatting.

My Recommendation for You

Since you are new, I suggest trying Tidio (if you want to talk to them) or Simple Ajax Chat (if you want a group chat).
