The Harsh Truth About Making Money With Web Design!
Are web designers focusing on the wrong thing?
A lot of people spend their time arguing about Divi, Bricks, Elementor, Gutenberg, and which page builder has the best features.
But features do not pay you. Clients do.
In this video, I explain why making money with web design is not really about having more features. It is about solving real business problems like leads, sales, bookings, and conversions.
If you want to make money as a freelancer or agency owner, you need to master your platform, build faster, use a repeatable design system, and focus on helping clients get results.
Let me know in the comments: are web designers too obsessed with features?
There’s a new platform for automating lead generation and customer management – brilliant! I didn’t go for the same options; I’m going to use SureContacts + SureMails – I’ve got LTD, AI and WPinbox Connect licences. You need a great KrafterPro design, solid functionality and, above all, the ability to provide good service to customers and support them effectively with their needs.
I’ve recently developed a skill for Divi 5 to integrate with Claude Cowork; I’m teaching it to understand how KrafterPro works. I’ll certainly need to add and adapt a plugin so that it can build pages and articles using KrafterPro’s excellent design.
What the plugin promises "Divi Connect links Claude AI to your Divi 5 site — so you can design and publish real pages, built from your own colors, fonts, and modules, just by saying what you want." It’s coming out in 2–3 weeks.
As for the training courses, one thing that could be improved here is to provide a text or .md file at the end of each lesson. This achieves two things: 1) it allows you to translate the content into your own language, and 2) it enables you to feed the file to an AI or LLM and ask it questions about the lesson. I’m currently on a training course on ‘AI acceleration’ using Claude, Novamira and WordPress. The trainer provides the audio transcript for Claude.
very good for FluentCRM

Mak, I’m still waiting for you to send me the Divi Design System you promised me nearly two weeks ago. Let alone the things you’ve emailed out since.
please can you be true to your word and send me the design system
Phil Price Please check your email, I sent it today. Sorry about the delay.
Mak . Thanks, I got it this morning
I do have here in germany an former photographer, who now works as a business trainer for other photographers. He says: The customers are not interested in your camera system, not in your prior beautifull pics...
The customers only want one thing: An easy, effective way to solve his demands, his problems.
So, change your story-telling: Not "We build your website with BLABLA, we do this page and the subpage, we use this plugin and that theme."
Communicate: "I build your website, so you can make more money. It solves your problems." ....
