Very Poor Support

I know many of you have found great benefit from Krafter, but I really regret my purchases here. Simple questions placed in support should not take 5 days to STILL not be responded. The lack of comprehensive written documentation is a deal breaker for me. I had hoped that by purchasing the packages that I would gain access to needed support, but as it is I have a confusing jumble of presets (with surprising overlap), no written documentation, and very poor (actually, non-existant ) support.

I have been professionally reviewing software for over 30 years, and this experience is among the worst. There may be a useful product here, but without support and documentation it is merely another hassle to figure out that could have been spent developing my own presets.

I would ask for a refund, but there is no one to ask as Mak has not responded to my support requests at all.

Bruno

I have to echo your comments. Not everybody using this software is a seasoned pro and it's not that there are 100's of questions asked here. Should be easy to take care of your customers Mak. On top of it, Mak doesn't deliver on his promises. He promised freebies if using his DIVI affiliate link to buy DIVI or upgrades as I did. Did not receive anything and Mak didn't even bother to respond to my comments/reminders on his YouTube channel. Bought his Krafter SW when he launched it and he promised the starter DIVI website as freebie, never received that either. Really disappointing.

Hello Bruno,

on one hand, I totally agree with you: The support -I didn't tested it yet! - seames to be a little behind the lines.
On the other hand, I assume that all persons behind MAK are totally blocked by programming the next features and coding the newest plugins or extensions for their system. It's always the same, when a deadline is soon in the future: Time is running out. And the deadline ist set by ET with the official release of D5. So I expect to arrive better times in the next weeks.

Klaus Fabritz

Besides: I assume that "Divi Univertsity" is a small familiy company plus 2-4 freelancers, not a 50 persons well growing company in an "trés chic" officebuiling in the green belt of the city :-)
Correct me when i'am wrong :-)

Bruno

Probably Klaus. I own several small family businesses myself. However, if I would communicate as poorly as Mak does, we would be out of business. Mak hasn't even addressed anybody in this thread yet. Sure looks like he really doesn't care.

joseph

Bruno, not only hasn't he addressed this thread, he has not answered either of my two support tickets...now, a week old. I might have understood a response like "I am working on a solution, but it may take some time", but not even responding for a week is unacceptable.

Also, I note that on the product/buy page here it doesn't indicate that Krafter is still being built and is inclomplete, though I now see promos elsewhere that offer it for a discount now (before the price goes up when it is complete).

This is just bad form, if not outright deceptive. If you're selling alpha/beta/pre-release software you should say so. This informs the consumer - before parting with money - and lets them make a decision based on facts. I have no ax to grind with Mak, hope he delivers on a good product at some point in the future, but really think that his approach will lead to lack of trust - the one thing that is truly essential when I consider investing in a software package.

Just as someone who has just recently come into this community, it feels like as fast as ET was releasing updates and features for DIVI 5, Mak was also sort of releasing new products. It was like he was keeping up with them but then it got all convoluted with Krafter, SiteKrafter, Starter Templates, etc. And I think maybe he released them too quickly and got them out too fast before truly packaging them together like he seems to be doing now.

Steve Booth

As Dan says it looks to me that MAK is playing catchup with all the brilliant new features being added to Divi 5 and adapting his offerings accordingly. Some of the changes have undermined his earlier offerings but he seems now to have settled on his Krafter preset based design system. His latest YT video explained that this will be developed into Krafter PRO and include the Starter Templates and Krafter presets of the main modules in Divi 5. This plan may be affected by further features added to Divi 5 so is difficult to predict.

I have been following MAK videos since Divi 4 was released and found his videos and guidance very reliable. I think at the moment he is working hard to cope with the rapid rate of change of Divi 5, which is causing some uncertainty. Based on his past record I am happy to wait for things to get back to normal.

I know there's a few hours before the Krafter $77 sale ends, but I'm reluctant to purchase it, because if it ends up not working, I'm not confident I'll get a refund. I have Krafter 2.0 from 2023, and it won't import into Divi Layout. I like the what Mak says the product can do, but I have concerns about the support for this and other products.

Manfred C

Bakari What you have is SITEKRAFTER 2.0 from 2023. KRAFTER is a new product from 2025.

Klaus Wildenburg

Bruno, that matches my experience with Mak as well. I agree with you. I've never seen such an unprofessional approach from a Divi partner company before.

Klaus Wildenburg

Joseph, I completely understand your comment. An incredibly chaotic and unprofessional performance. I too am utterly disappointed and would like a refund of the $77.

Michael Philipson

I paid $300 for a lifetime membership to the SiteKrafter system. I could never really get SiteKrafter Pro to work quite right. THEN, out came Krafter and then Krafter Pro, which were supposed to be included in the lifetime membership. Worked somewhat again on sites, until there was update after update coming in fast succession. Now, I just went to install Krafter Pro on a new site, but I cannot get it to authenticate, and I'm back to square one. No response from Mak. In the meantime, Elegant Themes began developing and strengthening its built-in design system and then started offering section build-outs, etc. I will be asking Mak for a full refund on the SiteKrafter Lifetime Purchase and then sticking with Elegant Themes' own design system, along with a few great sections from Divi Engine, etc. The goal is to eventually have a Claude build skill that cranks out full divi5 web builds. It's somewhat possible to do that now, but there are still design glitches. Am I the only one having such problems with this? It's been a COLLASAL waste of time trying to get all of this to work together, and Mak's support is nonexistent. If you are new to the game, I would seriously consider staying with ET's own design system and adding on only essential other features through more fully supporting vendors.
