V3.0 KrafterPro Duplicates
Here we go again. I have a ton of duplicates after previewing and showing x amount of presets/variables will be updating or unchanged upon merging even though I de-selected colors and fonts.
It seems like the new version variables are named without a hyphen (e.g. text s, space m) whereas the previous version has hypens (text-s, space-m). Am I the only experiencing this?
I rolled back to the previous version (thank you Mak for that option).
I don't want to manually add hyphens to all the presets to match before uploading the new 3.0 json file. Why didn't the presets update?
Jennifer, on my test site. I did not install the presets or variables. I did not want what you were experiencing. I will most likely spin up a different site to see what is new and replicate those. I looked at my presets; they are normal. Some, either I forgot to rename or were added. I did see additions to Layout. Mine have my branding, S4S-
Dougie W Thanks Doug. I do not understand why yours are fine and mine aren't. I reverted back to before the 3.0 update.
UPDATE: After 6 hours of cleanup (with Claude's help), I've got 3.0 installed clean — no duplicate variables or presets.
I went back and forth between my backup and a fresh 3.0 import to sort things out. First, I added hyphens to variables that were missing them (leftovers from 2.8). Then I found duplicate variables and presets, tagged them "old," and spent 4 hours checking 16 pages, 3 custom headers, 6 page templates, 5 canvas footers, and the global header/footer to see which ones were actually in use — swapping out any that were, then deleting the rest.
I reimported 3.0. Variables barely moved (+10-12), but presets still doubled. So I had Claude compare the 3.0 JSON against my cleaned-up JSON — it found 215 identical presets and generated a de-duped file. Imported that, and now I'm finally on a clean 3.0 with just 20 new presets added.
