KrafterPRO Design System Update – Presets & Theme Builder Templates

Mak . After updating to the latest version of KrafterPRO, I selected Merge and then updated the Design System to get the latest presets. However, the preset names don't seem to update. They are still named H1–H6, etc.

I tested this on a completely fresh installation, where I deleted the entire Design System and then installed the latest version from scratch. In that case, I got the new preset names.

So it seems that the new names are not being applied when updating an existing Design System using Merge. Is this expected, or am I missing a step?

Also, have the Theme Builder Templates been removed in the latest update?

Hi Mathias. I am looking into the issue, thanks for letting me know. Regarding the theme builder templates, they will be Frames Cloud.

Mak . When I reinstalled the Design System, I got the new H1–H6 presets. Thanks!

Question, Mak . : When you import the design system, including presets, to an existing site and select "merge", do the default presets get overwritten? I hope not, as this could mess up my site.

John Sharkey No they don't get overwritten but just do a backup before you do that.

Hi Mak,

Thank you for continuing to improve KrafterPRO. I noticed that version 4.2.16 improves the Import Preview for Merge and Replace, but I would like to confirm whether the legacy preset migration problem is still waiting for the planned Remap feature.

I have an existing production website built with the older KrafterPRO Design System, before the new plugin and Design System v3.1.2 were released.

Currently:

  • Merge adds a second set of presets because the old and new preset names are different.
  • Replace removes the old preset IDs that my pages are already connected to, which changes or breaks the existing design.
  • The manual rename-and-merge method can be tested on staging, but I do not feel it is safe enough for the production website.

As you previously explained, the ideal solution would be a Remap workflow with suggested old-to-new matches, an editable mapping table, Preview/Dry Run, and Snapshot/Rollback support.

Could you please confirm whether version 4.2.16 includes any part of this migration capability, or does its Import Preview change only improve the accuracy of the displayed results?

I’m happy to test the manual process on a local copy, but I’m waiting for the official Remap feature before migrating the production website. If you need a real legacy KrafterPRO website for testing, I would be happy to help.
