I’m Roger from the Netherlands, 64 years old. I’ve been a graphic designer for the last 30 years. Building website since 1996, build my first website with DIVI 4 in 2017.
I’m taking care of prox 20 websites. I’ve changed most of them to DIVI 5. I use a staging site to copy the files to and run the Divi 5 transformation to see what comes up.
Divi 5 is a leap forward. I build new websites using Krafter Pro and there’s a lot of things to discover. Adding variables (i think the Body text is rather big and i asked Chat GPT to come up with a solution) and making new presets is a nice way of feeling in control.
I still wonder why some of the old things have not been taking care of
- Add a button to the Blurb
- A possibiltiy to filter posts like it is possible with projects
- A better way of designing the menu
Love to see what’s next in DIVI.

30 years in graphic design and nearly 30 years of building websites is an incredible amount of experience. You've seen the web evolve through so many different eras and technologies.
Your approach to migrating sites to Divi 5 using staging environments first sounds very sensible, especially when managing around 20 websites. It's great to hear that the transitions have been going well.
I also share your excitement about Divi 5. Features like variables and presets really do make it feel like you have much more control over the design system and consistency across projects.
And I completely understand your thoughts on some of the long-standing wishlist items. A native button option for the Blurb module and more flexible post filtering would certainly be welcome additions.
