Web Designer / Pastor
Hey everyone! My name's Matt. I spent 18 years working in a church full time as a music director/pastor. During that time I dabbled with websites because - well, in case you're not aware, many churches operate on tight budgets! lol. In 2019 my wife and I moved on and I started focusing more on web design. Now we're still both involved in ministry, but I'm working at building a business on the side so that eventually we won't have to take a salary from the church.
Currently working solely with Wordpress / Divi but I've been starting to help people with social media, graphics and would love to get into the ad space.
I've followed Mak for years now and love his teaching style. Looking forward to connecting and contributing where I can!

Your journey from music ministry into web design is a brilliant example of how practical needs can open the door to an entirely new skill set and business opportunity. Eighteen years in ministry also means you bring a lot of experience in communication, leadership and serving people, which will be incredibly valuable as you grow your business.
It sounds like you’re building a strong mix of skills with WordPress, Divi, social media and graphics. Moving into paid advertising could become a great addition too, especially if you can help clients with both their websites and lead generation.
